Part of a control system for a Lithium Ion battery bank, this Cyrix intelligent charge relay is used to disconnect the charge source when the battery is getting full. It is controlled remotely by the Battery Management System. The Cyrix-Li-Charge is used to protect the battery and will disengage immediately whenever its control output becomes free floating, signalling cell over voltage or cell over temperature. It operates with a time delay to avoid nuisance activity.
