This bus bar can be used for AC circuits up to 300 Volts and DC circuits up to 48 Volts and has a continuous rating of 250 Amps.  It would be used to consolidate a number of wires together, for example adjacent to a battery box it could gather together negative wires going to the DC panel, windlass, engine etc. and then send a single negative wire to the battery bank.
