After having to clean the 3 year old EVA foam on our R-23, we wanted a better option.
We had a few pieces peeling up from the factory, and I didn't like the overall look with the segmented parts.
As I was removing the pieces, it was interesting how much water had made its way under it!

With a history in vans and experience with entry mats, floor mats, and living space mats, we turned to Inhabit Design Works to partner with in producing what we believe are the best mats available.
The material used is from Chilewich, which produces the base basketweave mat in Georgia, and then Inhabit uses the files that FreedomVanGo designed and tested to produce the custom mats, and then sew them up and makes them perfect!
The best part of these mats is the simple cleaning! You can pressure wash them, hose them down, scrub them, do whatever you want(almost), and let them dry. No crazy upkeep or maintenance. Just a great feel underfoot, with a padded backing that is water-friendly!
For mounting of your mats, there are a few options

The alternative is the traditional screw in snap base, but we prefer the Snad option!
All mats will come with snap pieces and tool that are uninstalled. You will be required to install the snap top half where you would like (or not at all!)
There are a few Backing options: Contact us if you have any specific desire.
We prefer the latex backing as it is thicker and more resilient, but TPO tends to be more resilient when always wet.

To ensure maximum performance and comfort, we use two types of backing based on the location of the mat in your vehicle:
Why Different Backings?

TPO Backing (foam): For swim deck we use TPO when available in your selected color. TPO offers added cushioning—perfect for standing barefoot during routines. However, it does have a slight “memory,” meaning temporary indentations may appear if heavy objects are left on it for extended periods. We also use TPO backing for our shower mats, since TPO dries faster than latex.

Latex Backing: For living area mats, we use latex backing. It’s more resistant to compression and indentations, making it ideal for high-traffic and utility-focused zones where gear and heavy items are frequently placed.
TPO-Compatible Colors
Not all colors are compatible with TPO. If your selected color is Cashmere, Deep Grey, Fawn, Gravel, Grey Flannel, Melange, Pebble, Cobblestone, or Tweed, your living area mat (Section B) will come with TPO backing, and the front and cargo mats will be latex-backed. These are also the only colors our shower mats are available in, since TPO dries quicker than latex.
For all other colors—including Black and White, Coffee, Confetti, Cranberry, Flint, Indigo, Ink, Lagoon, Noir, Plaid Grey, Sea, Sisal, and White-Silver—all sections will feature latex backing.
