Living in Florida with unbearable heat, we needed to find a solution to help insulate the inside of the Ranger Tug.
We turned to our experience in adventure vans to build the most effective interior shades we possibly could!
Created in Portland, OR, for us by longtime shade maker Van Made Gear, who is the industry standard for adventure van and RV window covers.
Interior shades help to keep out the heat and cool from the outside, and keep in your climate to make running the AC or Heater that much more efficient. This works in concert with solar and other charging means to extend the time away from the dock as well as improve comfort. We have noted approximately a 15 degree F temperature difference using these shades and the main window shades (coming soon) vs the factory window canvas and no hatch and skylight covers.
These shades require the removal of the hatch trim ring and installation of the included magnets. Depending on trim ring design, you may see the magnet in some cases. A dab of superglue or piece of tape is recommended to make sure the magnet doesn't shift on installation
