The newest Mercedes Sprinter model (2023+) comes with a factory alternator that has multiple potential issues that may leave you stranded on your adventure:
- At high amperage charging during idle, check engine lights can occur
- Without regulated charging at low RPMS or at high altitude, stalling or shuddering can happen
- Loss of acceleration or power from a stop can also be an issue
We have developed a kit including the Arco Zeus Alternator to charge your house batteries and will combat the potential issues listed above. When we install the kit, the charging is limited to after 1200 RPM as Mercedes mandates, thanks to some super cool technology in the alternator and regulator.
Coupled with a new Bracket and tensioner to keep the belt lasting a long time with no belt slap, this is a great setup to ensure amazing performance on your van.
