This upgrade hits a few things that make your system more efficient.
PWM Zamp solar controller vs Victron MPPT:
PWM and MPPT controllers both regulate the flow of energy from solar panels to batteries, but they do so differently. PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) controllers are simpler and less expensive, charging the battery at a fixed voltage. MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) controllers are more complex and efficient, using a DC-DC converter to optimize charging by maximizing the power drawn from the solar panel under varying conditions
This upgrade also allows you to have real-time and historical data of the performance of your solar system using the Victron Connect Application.
Finally it lets you add another panel into the system to gain a bit more charging power!
Direct replacement with no major modifications. Simply take out the old one, cut the terminals off, strip the wire and insert in the appropriate ports. These all come preprogrammed for lithionics and ready to go!
